Dores, Loch Ness, Highlands

Dores, Inverness, UK

Sun 31st May 2020

Organiser's Description

For all cyclists looking for their next mountain bike challenge, this 80 mile ride is a challenge to sink your teeth into.

Starting from the village of Dores, this circular route will head towards Inverness on the South Loch Ness Trail. It will then follow the Great Glen Way to Fort Augustus, at the southern end of Loch Ness, before switching back to the South Loch Ness Trail and heading steeply uphill to the Glendoe Hydro Works. The route continues over Suidhe and on to Foyers and Inverfarigaig via Glen Liath and Farigaig Woods. There's a 7k climb up and over the spectacular Fair Haired Lad’s Pass, before the final few fast and easy kilometres to the finish at Dores.
