Mascot Gold Cup

Wetherby, North Yorkshire

Organiser's Description

The World's largest mascot race, the Mascot Gold Cup, returns to Wetherby Race Course and Conference Centre during the Family Day race meeting in April 2019. This is the 14th Mascot Gold Cup, which set the Guinness World Record for the Most Mascots in a race back in 2015.

Mascots first take part in the Mascot Parade where punters can place their bets on their favourites. Mascots then run the final furlong in front of the cheering grandstands - that's 220 yards, negotiating six small fences. The race is in support of Sue Ryder, helping to continue palliative, neurological and bereavement support in West Yorkshire.
