Montane Trail 26 & 13, Howgills

Sedbergh, Cumbria

Sedbergh People's Hall, LA10 5DQ

Sun 10th May 2020

Organiser's Description

The third race in the Montane Trail Tour is based in Sedbergh and passes through the Howgill Fells, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's a picturesque setting, but the course has real 'bite', with some serious climbing in the first 6 miles for both half and full marathon courses. You'll be working hard to summit 'Winder', 'Arant Haw', 'Calder' and eventually 'The Calf'. Both courses return along the Eastern edge of the Howgills, before a real 'sting in the tail' in the final miles. It's stunning, quiet and scenic, but not for the faint hearted. Come and join us for a wonderful day out in the Howgills, bring the family, there's a free Trail Kidz 1k, so start them young!
