Who doesn’t love a list? These are our pick of the best events from beginner triathlons to the toughest 10k’s.
Starting in Bakewell with a long route of 165km (103 miles) with 4000m (13000 feet) of climbing taking in the full length and breadth of the Peak District including the Hope Valley, Edale, Chapel-en-le-Frith, The Goyt Valley/Cat & Fiddle, Macclesfield Forest, Axe Edge, Longnor and Lathkill Dale this ride is billed as one of the toughest sportives in the UK. Shying away from using busy main roads wherever possible, the Peak Epic takes you on quiet/scenic Peakland lanes and roads that you probably never even knew existed. In addition to the challenge of the long route there are medium and shorter route options (101km/62 miles and 63km/39 miles) for those who want an easier day out.
