Organiser's Description

A race series which takes place in the shadow of the iconic and imposing Portchester Castle, and around the shoreline at the upper reaches of Portsmouth Harbour. All five races in the series take place on Wednesday evenings at 19:00.  Beautiful course, taking in the iconic castle and views across the upper reaches on Portsmouth Harbour. We are also planning a post race gathering at Portchester Sailing Club. How To Get There

By road: The Castle is on the South side of Portchester, off the A27, or Junction 11 of the M27. Use postcode PO16 9QW for Satnav.

By bus: The bus from Portsmouth takes 33 minutes and costs £2 - £3. The Number 3 bus runs from Fareham bus station to Portchester every 20 minutes.

By train: Portchester train station is situated on the West Coastway Line between Brighton and Southampton. South Western Railway provides an off-peak service of three trains per hour from London Waterloo, and two trains per hour each from Portsmouth & Southsea and Southampton Central. It's then a walk of a 1.6 miles from the train station to the Castle. You can shorten the walk by catching the number 3 bus heading towards Portsea, and alight outside the White Hart.

A flat, one lap multi-terrain course in the shadow of the iconic and imposing Portchester Castle, and around the shoreline at the upper reaches of Portsmouth Harbour.

All races in the series take place on Wednesday evenings at 1900.
