Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London

London. E20 2ST

Sat 6th July 2019

Organiser's Description

Run in the footsteps of legends around the iconic sights of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Along a flat, smooth course, you'll be inspired by the scenic waterways, green spaces and sporting venues including the London Stadium, the London Aquatics Centre, the Copper Box Arena, Lee Valley VeloPark and Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre.

Our 10K course has been completed more than 15,000 times since we established this monthly event in 2014 - by first-timers, beginners, long-time runners and elite 10,000m athletes. It's here for everyone, whether you're chasing a 10K personal best or simply aiming to complete the course - and our brilliant race day atmosphere, souvenir medals and goody bags will make it a race to remember.

Usually with around 500 runners per race, you'll find you've all the space you need and plenty of other runners at your pace to get a great race experience.

We were the first to begin monthly 10K races around the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park following the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and we're proud to continue to offer the best value, chip-timed races on this brilliant course.

Enter online today for a memorable 10K experience at a great price.

Incredible. This was my first official 10k race and I am so glad I picked this one!! It felt like a big parkrun with super supportive and friendly marshals, a great course and a super medal! Would recommend this for anyone thinking of running a 10k race :)

Well run event. I believe this run wasn’t the normal route. I personally didn’t like this particular route. Lots or turns and small up and down paths. All on a smooth course with wide paths so no tripping over each other. Nice meeting point cafe with loos. The organisers were clearly worried about the heat and insisted people drink water at the stops one each lap or 3. They also set up another table which I made use of. Parking at Westfield is a 5 min walk but expensive £9 for 2.5 hours.

Really enjoyed the race. I really enjoyed the event on Saturday. It was well organised and the route was fun. I'm a West Ham fan so it's great to be on home turf. The only reason why this isn't a 5 star is due to the technical difficulties a couple of my friends had (6 of us raced) with their times. But I understand that you've been working to resolve that with them.

Well Organised. This was my first formal event. I found it easy to register and collect chip. It was really encouraging with the Marshalls clapping us on.Pleasantly surprised by goodies at end of a 10k and really liked the medal. I will sign up again :)

Well Organised. A great location around the Olympic Park, a 3 lap course. Encouraging staff along the route, water and goodies at the end and a nice medal. Only slight negative is a lack of course markings denoting which KM you’re on, but negligible if you have a watch.

Well organised but missing the race T-shirt. It's a lapped race but with a nice circuit. Collecting the race numbers was easy and well organized. I found marshals encouraging throughout the run. "Goodies" at the end of the race were nice. I have participated in various runs across Europe (cheaper in price...) and is the first time I didn't get a T-shirt...which is a shame and the only big negative on this run!

Good, mainly flat lapped race. I enjoyed this, It's a good venue on a Sunday with not too many people around (3 teenagers smoking dope though - gak!) It was well organised, started on time, got results out quickly. Not very crowded. Mainly flat apart from a few slopes on the way up onto bridges. It's a shame it was lapped, but in a park that size, I guess it's to be expected and I guess also saves on costs (and therefore price).

Would do it again - but. My partner and I enjoyed this run despite it being a lapped run. It wasn’t too busy, collecting race numbers was easy and bag drop was well organised. The marshalls were very encouraging to all abilities and the end of race ‘goodies’ were lovely. Only negative I have is no one was giving out the T-shirt’s which meant my partner and I ended up not getting one.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for the feedback on the event. We just wanted to clarify that we do not give out t-shirts at the event for all finishers. The t-shirts are only available to purchase online before the event and people pick them up on the day.

Would run it again but.... Good run considering it was laps, but once finished no one was giving out the t shirts we had won for taking part which led to me and my running partner not getting one

Stands out as one of the best. I've attended a few different running events now and the summer 19k series really stands out as one of the best. Really enthusiastic volunteers, very well organised and a decent flat course for those important PB's. Not to mention a great venue.

loved the race. I loved the race! Though it was hard though as it was so hot. I enjoyed the group warm up, the beautiful olympic park course itself, the friendly lady handing out our medals at the end and the prompt email with my time and pics from the day for only 3.

Plenty of marshalls. I'd give the race at Queen Elizabeth park 4.5. The race itself was well organised and facilities good (though the Loos at the restaurant were closed before everyone had finished). There were plenty of marshalls and people to answer questions and give directions for bag storage etc. I struggled to find my wfrim the station to the park though. Someone or signs would have helped.

Difficult in terms of terrain. I personally found the race enjoyable and not too difficult in terms of terrain. A few gentle inclines and declines made the course relatively quick and as a result a ran a relatively fast 10k. The course was well organised with marshals in suitable places to direct. Three loops to the course made it easy to anticipate what was coming later on and how much effort to put in, however any more than three risks the race becoming a little boring. Over all I would score this race 4 out of 5.

Scenic routes. I would give the race a 4 out of 5. I enjoyed the course as it had some scenic routes to it and it was really easy to get my number and bag drop my stuff and to get to race location. all the runners and staff were really encouraging and enthusiastic. The only thing I would have like was a indication of where KM i was on, to improve my PB and pace my race better.
