Ride of the Fallen Leaves

Coniston, Cumbria

8 A593, Coniston LA21, UK

Sun 9th October 2016

Organiser's Description

Challenge yourself, or just enjoy the stunning Autumn scenery, on this 61 mile ride along the quiet lanes of the southern lakeland, with its tricky climbs. From John Ruskin School, in Coniston, you head South. After a gentle warm up through the lanes you take the first climb of the day, to find excellent views across the sea, then a super fast descent, before another climb over into Rusland Valley. Cark is the furthest point of the route. The return journey features the route's best descents, and also the day’s main climbs, before a final fast descent to the finish. The last of the Lakeland Classics.
