Ride Reigate

Great event, not an easy route.... Pre-race: Collecting packs is easy; the race numbers are good quality and the chip is on the number. Race Day: I'm cheating here because I'm local - I can walk/jog down to Priory Park. I imagine that parking can be tricky but there's plenty of on-street parking with a mile. The race village is busy, but there's plenty there and a good amount of toilets. Bag drop is good. Route: It's not hard, it's not easy. It's a really good challenge with hills, long out-and-backs, residential and country lanes. Its not a race for PBs. There is a killer hill at about 8.5km, so save some energy for that and try to keep going up it (there's a looong downhill after, so keep that in mind). Post-race: The last 400m have great support and the finish line is loud and exciting. Bag collection is easy. Other comments: It's won multiple awards and I can understand why. Prices are reasonable for what it is, but get the well-priced early bird entries if you can. Would I do it again? Yes, I'm already signed up (for the Half this year)
