Rough Runner Manchester Salford (Saturday)

MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, Manchester

MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, Manchester M50 2EQ

Sat 6th July 2019

Starting at 09:30

Organiser's Description

For the first time ever, Rough Runner is going Urban! The awesome backdrop of Salford Quays, the media hub of the North West of England, will provide an entirely new obstacle experience. Taking place around the waters of the Media City area, we will be hosting a shorter, obstacle-packed course, so you don’t need to be a fitness nut to take on the challenge. And you don’t even need to leave the city limits!

10-12 epic TV game show-inspired obstacles will feature on a 2.5k lap around the Quays, while a second lap would take you up to 5km and give you a another chance to make it through each challenge! Both routes will finish in style with an attempt at our Legendary Travelator, with its four different speeds – Fast, Medium, Slow, and even Reverse for anyone who needs a lift to the top!

By Tram: Metrolink offers fast, frequent and fully accessible transport to and from Manchester city centre. Alight at MediaCityUK.

By Train: Trains run into Manchester's national railway stations, Piccadilly and Victoria, from across the country. You can then travel to The Quays by Metrolink tram.

By bus: From Salford Crescent station, 1.75 miles West of Manchester Victoria and 2.25 miles West of Manchester Piccadilly, buses run regularly to The Quays.

There are great public transport links to The Quays, which means no-one needs to worry about who the designated driver is, and instead you can hang out at The Quays with a well-deserved post-run drink and watch the other runners face planting on the Travelator!
