With the lake on your doorstep, it's only right you treat yourself to a replenishing swim and watch the sunrise and fall in a place that is truly spectacular.
A running holiday retreat like no other, this location is off the beaten track, but still within easy reach of Macedonia's spectacular monasteries and cultural sites.

Arrive and settle in. Meet the team over an evening meal. We have a run through of the route and what to expect over the following days. Kit check and any other preparations.
Wake early to breakfast. Warm up and head out on the longest run you'll undertake. We leave the accommodation and head up into the Galichitsa National Park before decending to the lake shore for a swim and refreshing drink. We arrive back at base for a simple lunch and spend the afternoon at your leisure exploring the historical town of Ohrid or heading south to St Naum monastery. The team and guests reconvene over dinner.
After breakfast and a warm up we head out on a shorter and easier run. A circular route from the accommodation sees us back in time for lunch. Mid-afternoon there will be an optional stretch & strength or yoga class available (45mins), or just unwind ahead of the evening meal and further explore the area.
A quick stretch and easy morning run (1hr) will set you up for your journey - or treat yourself to a extra hour or two in bed. The team and guests share breakfast before heading off.
Situated just outside the main town of Ohrid in a small village, the accommodation is carefully chosen to provide a comfortable and sociable space.
With trail heads on the doorstep, and only 1km to the lake edge, this place provides an ideal base for a weekend of exploring. Meals will be nutritious and plentiful.
Within easy reach of some of Macedonia's cultural gems, why not extend your adventure and dip your toe in further to the country's rich history.
Please note that while ideal in lots of ways there is only one shared bathroom, no frills lodging keeps us out of town and right on the trail heads.

Flights & transfers
Any necessary visas - dependant on guest Nationality
A deposit of 30% of the Trip Cost, shall be paid to Nomadic Running Company at the time of booking.
If booking within 56 days (8 weeks) of the date on which the trip starts full payment is due on booking.
Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel your booking. Once we have received your initial payment your booking is accepted.
Balance of payment: This is due 56 days (8 weeks) prior to the trip camp start date. If full payment is not received by this date we reserve the right to cancel your booking without any refund of the trip deposit.
