RunThrough Lee Valley VeloPark 5k, 10k, 10 Mile & Half
The Lee Valley VeloPark’s one mile floodlit road circuit is the perfect course to test yourself over a new distance, or check your pacing, with each mile split chip timed for you to view after the race. This is one of the London 2012 Olympic venues and you can’t help but feel inspired to give it your all on this course - and we're there to cheer you all the way round to the finish!!
The Lee Valley VeloPark 2020 series offers you a chance to run a Half Marathon, 10 Mile, 10k, 5k or Mile on this unique one mile Moto GP styled circuit. We also have a free kids' mile, so you can bring any young ones along with you and make a day of it.
All marshals and staff within the event and around the course will be issued with PPE and wear gloves and a mask for the duration of the event.
As many race packs will be posted out ahead of the event as possible and event communications will be sent via email in the lead up.
There will not be a formal baggage drop within the event village, please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event and leave anything in the car during the race to reduce contact between runners and staff. If this is not possible, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be multiple hygiene stations around the event with hand sanitiser for all runners.
You will see clear signage around the event village, please follow all signage and instructions from the marshals before, during and after the race.
There will be a manned, and clearly marked, medical hub within the event village.
DURING THE RACE
The race will start in waves based on your estimated finish time, with the faster runners at the start and slower near the back to avoid any congestion and the need to overtake on course.
There will be an informal grab and go water station with sealed sports top bottles on the course, however we ask that you stay hydrated before the event and if you are able to please bring your own. Bottles and camelbacks are permitted.
If you need to overtake on the course please give a wide berth of at least 1 meter around any runners.
Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is not permitted.
AFTER THE RACE
Do not stop within the finish barriers. Please continue past the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.
We ask that once you have collected your medal and water to leave the event village as soon as possible to avoid groups congregating within the event village.

We strongly recommend travelling by public transport, allowing plenty of time to get to the venue. Plan your journey ahead to check for any planned closures or engineering works.
By rail: Lee Valley VeloPark is a 20-minute walk from Stratford / Stratford International. Stratford station is served by the Jubilee and Central underground lines; Docklands Light Railway (DLR); National rail: https://www.thetrainline.com/stations/stratford-london. Stratford international is served by National rail: https://www.thetrainline.com/stations/stratford-international
By bus: Key bus routes connecting Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are: 388, 308, 339, 97 and N205 which all stop near Lee Valley VeloPark.
By car: If travelling by car is essential we are 5 minutes from the A12
By bike: There are cycle routes connecting Lee Valley VeloPark to local residential areas, and through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The venue is close to Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 1 and Barclays Cycle Superhighway CS2.
Parking at Lee Valley VeloPark is limited and we strongly advise travelling by public transport; blue badge holder spaces are available. Parking is not free at the VeloPark, please follow the signs to the parking machines and follow the instructions on the machine, otherwise you will receive a fine. You can also park at Westfield next to the Stratford International station.
Half Marathon start time: 9.00am (Strict 3 hour cut off)
10 Mile start time: 9.15am
5k start time: 9.45am
Mile start time (+ Free Kids): 10.00am
10k start time: 10.15am
Secure baggage store
Fruit & flapjack
Baggage: We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We have tear off baggage labels at the bottom of your race number that can be attached to your bag. To collect, all you have to do is hand over your number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your belongings.
Refreshments: There is a water station at the end of every lap, and you will be able to enjoy fruit and flapjacks after the race. There is also a cafe on site.
During the race: The course is a closed off 1 mile loop. 3 laps for 5k, 6 for the 10k, 10 for the 10 mile and 13 for the half marathon.
Spectators: There are multiple points around the race track to watch the runners and cheer friends and family on.
Results: Results will be available on www.runthrough.co.uk after the race.
Pictures: We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.

A well organised friendly event
Their software did not detect my loops I think I did 14 miles instead of 13 .1 miles.
Event ran out of their "seasonal" medals but offered a free entrance to another race.

Think parking was free?
