Lovely race. I really enjoyed the relatively short lap. The undulations made it a more interesting challenge. Support staff friendly snd effective. Managed a PB - always a good outcome. Wished I'd worked out the route from Tube to Velopark as the Olympic site signage was somewhere between inadequate and invisible.

The race location and organisers were great, and the fact you complete 13 laps for the half marathon isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, however don’t underestimate the impact of the hills in the 1 mile loop. It was a great race for me to get back into racing, however the hills tired me out by half way (plus it was a very warm day!) and so it’s not quite a PR track in my opinion. Having said that, despite the hills I was only 1 min outside of my PB time so the race atmosphere still allows you to push yourself! Next I’ll be booking a nice flat course to try and get that PB!

A well organised friendly event. Despite the absolutely foul weather the event went ahead. Full credit to the organisers and event staff who remained upbeat and friendly. A really good event for those looking to get into running, or those looking for a timed blast.

Well organised. It was my 11 year old sons first mile run, which he completed in 8 minutes. Very well organised he loved it even though it was very windy on the day. Now has the bug & wants to run again.

Amazing Event. I attended my first half marathon last Saturday. It was a well organised event, the staff were friendly and the signage on the day was great which meant it was easy to find.

A great run. Really good set up and location, free parking on the day although we used public transport. A variety of distances meant it was available for all runners, and the staff were fantastic. Plenty of water during the race and some lovely snacks for recovery after as well. Some people find the constant loops monotonous however I found it really comforting, however you have to track your own distance via smart watch or by counting your laps, so be prepared! Would do again.

Great vibe and really well organised. I was a bit worried that 13 laps for a half marathon would be mentally hard but actually the upbeat volunteers around the track set a great vibe and kept you going. So well organised and great flapjacks at the end! 2 choices of medal which was a nice touch.

Great course. Great course although exposed to the winds. Their software did not detect my loops I think I did 14 miles instead of 13 .1 miles. Event ran out of their "seasonal" medals but offered a free entrance to another race. Showers and changing facilities on site Think parking was free?

Well organised, nice atmosphere and good for PBS. I did the 10 mile and really enjoyed the track. It was undulating with small hills but this helped to keep it varied and interesting. It was well organised and I’d recommend it to everyone!

Very well organised half marathon. Brilliant race. Was dreading 13 laps of the same track but it was really well organised which made the run great. I also beat my PB. And special shout out to delicious home made flap jacks at the end.

6 laps for a 10k : (. I had thought the course could take advantage of the full extent of the park but keeping it to just one small area meant 6 laps required for the 10k. The volunteers were all really helpful & supportive and I cannot fault the organisation of the event but for me it didn’t have the run event vibe and atmosphere I enjoy. We get more people attend our local parkrun.

Great Race for a PB and spectators. The event was very well organised, ALL the staff were really friendly and helpful (all smiling) < IN LONDON!!!! The route is real tasty with a fair few hills, long bends and a water station at every mile loop which is really handy!! This is ideal for a PB and ideal for spectators as they can see you multiple times during one mile loop!! Multiple clean changing rooms with showers.Nice medal as well. This course is a must.

A great 10 mile race. I signed up for 10 miler as I was struggling to find events between 10k and a HM (although this event has those distances too :)). I would recommend the race - organisation was really good, friendly vibe, good looping course, accurate time chips. Overall I was very happy and managed a pb. Two little things I would suggest to be improved - 1) the water stations generated an obscene number of plastic bottles - could a reusable option be considered? 2) the flapjack at the end contained dairy so I couldn’t have it because I’m vegan.

Great atmosphere. Easy to get to & well organised. Plus indoor toilets with no queue!! Only not 5 star because there were some inclines on the route which I’m not used to running

Very well organised race. I ran the 10KM and had a great morning despite the miserable weather. The area was well mapped out, volunteers were friendly and encouraging and I will happily return for another event here.

Half marathon. I was very disappointed that my time was not recorded on the results page for some reason? I felt it was not clear where we went at the end of the race? I presumed passed the finish line but maybe I had to go past the start line to record when I had finished? Either it wasn’t made clear prior to the race and therefore never got my time.

Was a well organised event. It was a tough course with quite a few hills that sapped energy. I really enjoyed the event and I am open to doing more events.

A hot day but great event. I wasn't sure what to expect but from checking in to the end of the run everything was well organised. I liked the other races joining into the 1/2 marathon it kept me going. Great event would recommend it

Great experience. Great organization from checkin to, race start and finish, aid stations, medal, goodie bag, complimentary photos shared online. Great community feel as well. The 1 mile track, 13 times is an interesting proposition. It is slightly mind numbing but at the same time if you were trying to go for setting a benchmark, it's very useful to have the predictability lap on lap. The track has slight undulations but those little hills become much more significant lap after lap (again, you know they are coming, which is a different mental challenge of its own.)

Well run event - tough course for a half marathon. Really well run event , heaps of support staff and water point on every lap definitely was a life saver in the heat. I found the course really tough for the half with regular inclines and declines that threw you out of your rhythm. Definitely good training track for a flat half marathon or full in the future.

First ever run. Being my first run; i was very apprehensive doing this. How ever it turned out to be very good and i actually pushed my self past what my training times were. I know the location is best for some. But i much prefer a distance and not cycle. I find that mentally draining when you keep seeing everyone finishing. But i will still do it again. And maybe next time i will have the right runners shoes on and not have blisters half way through. But again the first aid was 5 star and all the staff working the event.

Not Bad. This was my first ever event and as a whole I enjoyed although having never done a half marathon before I found tough, I only have one criticism and that would be not really knowing when the final loop was happening.

Lee Valley Velopark Half. Such a well organised race, in a great location. The loops were challenging but a great indication of what you can do as a runner both mentally and physically. The hills were constant which is great training for legs and a great starting point for other races. The chips are accurate and you can be followed by any loved ones during the race which is an added bonus! Great snacks at the end and a lovely medal! Thanks so much to the organisers!

Fantastic Event. Yesterday was my first time taking part in a run through organised event. I thoroughly enjoyed it, clear communications both prior and on race day, fantastic marshalls (the lady directing from the car park was lovely) and an all round great atmosphere. Come the end of the race the sun was shining and you receive a lovely hand made flapjack. Fantastic event - will be back 💪🏻
