With practical trail running workshops, talks, guided runs, product demo pools and specialist Salomon advice throughout the day there's something for everyone. Our festivals are the perfect opportunity to get involved in the trail running community, enjoy the freedom of nature and find your local trails. Choice of 5k, 10k, 20k, 50k Ultra.

Festival Village
We encourage participants to bring along spectators who can come and enjoy the festival whilst you take on trail running workshops, yoga sessions and trail runs. There will also be lots of opportunities to learn more about trail running and hear from trail running experts. Parking, food and drink retailers and toilets will be available in the event village.
Go Run For Fun Details
The Go Run for Fun run, will start at the festival site and is a 2km marshalled loop run for 4-10-year olds.
Start time to be confirmed but anticipated to be 11am.
All children must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian to attend the run.
Please note all parents/ guardians need to purchase a separate spectator ticket in order for your child to participate in the run as children are not allowed on site without a parent/ guardian.
We will be taking photos throughout the day. It is the parent's responsibility to inform the Salomon Trail Festival team if they do not want images of their children to appear in marketing collateral.
The ticket T&Cs assumes that you will inform us and bring a coloured bib so that our photographers are made aware on the day should you not wish for your child to feature in event photographs.
After Party Details
Join us from 7.30pm on the 18th May for an evening to celebrate our first Salomon Trail Running Festival of 2019. The evening will include music, an exclusive Salomon movie premiere, informal chats and Q&A's with some of our trail running athletes and ambassadors as well as the opportunity to win Salomon and Suunto prizes. If you have purchased a Festival Entry or Ultra Run ticket you do not need to purchase an additional ticket for our after party, you just need to sign up to this in the event workshop booking system. If you have purchased a spectator ticket or weren't able to join us for the event you will need to purchase an evening ticket. The event is being held at the Apothecary Bar, from 7.30pm, No.8 Lister Square, Simpson Loan, Edinburgh EH3 9GL. Spaces are limited so please book ahead.
Festival Entry Tickets
This ticket gives you access to attend the Salomon Trail Running Festival, from 11am to 4.30pm, and entitles you to participate in the day's talks, 1 yoga workshop, 1 guided run (5km,10km or 20km distance) and 1 practical trail workshop. This ticket also entitles you to attend our exclusive evening event at the Apothecary bar in Edinburgh with music, movies and athlete talks from 7.30pm onwards.
Ultra Run Details
Ultra run consists of a 50km run, which will start at the festival site and run through the downs, returning to the festival site. You are also entitled to attend our exclusive evening event at the Apothecary bar in Edinburgh with music, movies and athlete talks from 7.30pm onwards. Start time to be confirmed but expected to be 9.00am. This option is suitable for runners already experienced in long distances and would feel confident running a road marathon runs within 4.5/5 hour time.
General Terms & Conditions
Refunds
You are eligible for a full refund (minus the online booking fee) within the 14 days cooling off period from the day of booking.
Note: The cooling off period does not apply where a booking is made within 14 days of the event date.
Any withdrawals after the 14 days cooling off period will not be eligible for a refund.
Route Amendment and Cancellation Policy
Salomon will host the best and safest events possible. In the event of circumstances beyond our control, which result in potentially unsafe conditions Salomon Events will either:
Amend the run course to make the event safe.
or
Where conditions cannot be made safe, cancel the event.
Where the event is modified under condition 1 above, no refund will be applicable. In the event of a cancellation under condition 2 above, competitors will be offered a Salomon product to the value of the event entry.
Where possible, we shall give at least 24 hours notice to any potential amendment or cancellation.
No refunds will be offered if cancellation is due to an unforeseeable natural disaster or ‘act of God’.
Safety requirements
If you’re still on the run course after two hours, a marshal may ask you to leave the course or require you to wear a head torch in order to finish the course.
You must be 16 years old and over to enter the timed run.
