Aberdeen railway station is connected to Union Square, which is a 4 minute walk to the start. There are direct services from Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and London, as well as local services from Dyce, Inverurie, Insch, Huntly, Portlethen, Stonehaven and Laurencekirk.
Union Square has 200 cycle racks.
The ferry terminal is less than a five-minute walk from Union Square and has daily services from Aberdeen to Lerwick in Shetland – with four of these travelling via Kirkwall.
Aberdeen bus station is located next to Union Square, and Stagecoach Bluebird and First Aberdeen operate buses from various origins to the Square.
A multi-storey car park, open 24/7, is 2 minutes walk away from the start on Union Street.
There are three Park & Ride schemes to travel to the centre: Ellon, Kingswells and Bridge of Don.
The Family Run is open to everyone aged 3 years old and over. We recommend runners aged between 3-8 participate with an adult, which means everyone needs to buy an entry to take part. Those aged 9 and over can run alone, but anyone aged 16 and under should be accompanied by an adult on the day.
