Organiser's Description
The Simplyhealth Great North Family Run starts and finishes inside Gateshead International Stadium. Runners set off on the mile route, travelling along the Stadium track before heading out of the Stadium and past its football pitches. You will turn onto Tyne Main Road before heading along Neilson Road and back into the Stadium, where cheering crowds will welcome you as you cross the finish line! Also Toddler dash for 0-3 yr olds. (Date tbc)

How To Get There
The Nearest major road is the A1(M). Take the A167 to Gateshead centre then the A184 to the Stadium.
The Stadium has its own Metro stop, which is a five minute walk away. This stop is around a ten minute journey away from Newcastle Central railway station, which is also the nearest mainline station.
The Line 93 bus service operates from Newcastle Central Station to Gateshead International Stadium; the Line 94 operates from Gateshead Quays to the Stadium.
Parking
There are three car parks at the Stadium which are free to use.
Age Restrictions
The Family Run is open to everyone aged 3 years old and over. We recommend runners aged between 3-8 participate with an adult, which means everyone needs to buy an entry to take part. Those aged 9 and over can run alone, but anyone aged 16 and under should be accompanied by an adult on the day.
