Soul Cake Day Challenge

Northampton

Holiday Inn Northampton, Bedford Rd, Northampton NN4 7YF

Sun 17th November 2019

Organiser's Description

Soul Cake Day was something of an Autumn tradition in the good old Pagan days, when basically eating a cake supposedly saved a soul! So we're holding a Soul Cake Day Challenge Run, the idea being that after each lap, you eat a little cake to save a soul, or remember a soul to please those no longer with us!

We're expanding to cope with demand and the number one request is that there be more events outside of Kent, so here it is. Middle of England, Northampton! We've very kindly been offered a route from the excellent Madeyarun folk, and jumped at the opportunity to add an SVN twist to this excellent route and venue! The course is a mix of very high quality bike paths and grassy trails along the River Nene and around several flood reservoirs, so plenty of wildlife and views to be seen. It's pretty flat, only about 40' of climb per lap. The event will be a 6 hour timed challenge to complete as many 5.17 mile loops as you can/wish within the time.

Distances

5.17 mile loop 6 hours
