Spartan Race Scotland - Beast

Sat 14th September 2019

Starting at 08:00

Organiser's Description

Our Scottish venue sees Spartan Race in the ancient and magnificent city of Perth. This 21 km race will offer a start in the very centre of the City, where Spartan Race runners will have the chance to run along crowd-lined streets, before heading out onto the hilly trails.

Entrants will take in the beautiful and diverse architecture of the ‘Fair City’, then cross the River Tay and head out onto the steep Kinnoull and Deuchny Hills to experience breath-taking views, whilst the energy drains from the legs. Throw in obstacles and we have an event that will test mental strength, endurance, grit and perseverance, and with 4 events to chose from, there really is something for all levels of athlete.

ARRIVAL:

WHAT TO WEAR:

There is no dress code at Spartan, you will be running in mud and water, climbing hills, running through forests, rolling under barbed wire and jumping through fire. Our Elites recommend performance gear (not cotton), water packs, compression underwear and race fuel.

Course Details

If you’re looking to unleash your inner beast and go to places you never imaged, the Spartan Beast is perfect for you. With 12-14 miles and 30-35 obstacles between you and the finish line, the Spartan Beast will test everything you’re made of: your strength, your endurance, your resolve. The unpredictable terrain and Spartan Obstacles are masterfully designed to push you deep into your discomfort zone, and well past those self-imposed obstacles you once considered your limits. Beast mode: on.

BAG DROP

Try and leave as much stuff as you can at home or in your car— but for the stuff you can’t leave behind, or that you don’t want covered in mud and water, we will have a secure place to check in your gear. Check in is £2 per bag.

WHAT TO WEAR

We said “adventure” right? Well folks let’s get adventurous! There’s no dress code, per se, but you’ll be running in mud and water, climbing hills and mountains, crawling under barbed wire and jumping fire. So choose wisely my friends.
