Organiser's Description

The Active Training World popular monthly aquathlon series returns for Summer 2019 with 3 races, on 18 May, 15 June and 20 July. Open water swim at Stanborough Lakes, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, with grass and path run laps around Stanborough Park. Traffic-free and reasonably flat, with one incline. Sprint and supersprint options. The races start and finish in the same location at Stanborough Lakes.

How To Get There

By Road: Take Junction 4 off the A1(M), follow the A6129 and signs to Stanborough Park. Use postcode AL8 6DQ for your Satnav.

By rail: The venue is 1 mile from Welwyn Garden City Station, with direct lines to London King's Cross and Cambridge. Welwyn Garden City station is managed and served by Great Northern.

By bus: Arriva buses operate services to Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, St Albans and beyond.

Event Information

Registration opens at 7:30am. Please arrive in sufficient time to collect your number and timing chip.

Race Start: A compulsory race briefing will be held before the start

Minimum age: 15 yrs

BTF rules: All competitors must comply with BTF rules. We strongly recommend that you read them HERE. Only competitors wearing their ID will be allowed in or out of the transition area.

BTF licence fee: A £5 BTF licence fee is payable on the morning of the race for non-BTF members, or this can be selected during registration. BTF members must produce their license at registration or a £5 levy will be charged.

Safety: If circumstances deem the course to be unsafe or it falls outside the BTF guidelines, Aloha Tri have the right to change, move or cancel the event at short notice.
