One of the biggest running events in the world, attracting athletes from across the globe, the London Marathon is now in its 39th year and 2020 promises to be the biggest ever.
An incredible 457,861 applicants registered for a ballot place in the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon! If you aren't lucky enough to get a place there are still ways to enter, including running for charity, 'good for age' entries, and club entries.
Having changed only very slightly over the years, the London Marathon follows a path well-known to anyone lucky enough to have taken part.

An experience. Everyone largely has a great day for the London Marathon. You race for a number of reasons. I myself am not a fast runner, so found that the finish line very underwhelming which was a shame. I think people had dwindled away after a while so wasn't so fun :(
