Organiser's Description
The 5th running of this iconic race at the stunning Hever Castle. The Bastion is part of the Castle Triathlon Series, was a natural progression to feed that hunger for more, and was designed to offer the ultimate challenge for both newcomers to long-distance triathlon, and experienced long-course hands. It will feature a river and lake swim, hailed as ‘the best open water swim ever experienced’; arguably the toughest long course cycle route on offer in the UK, with 2000m of climbing, up through the High Weald of Kent; a mostly off-road run which circumnavigates the two stunning estates of Hever and Chiddingstone Castle.
