Organiser's Description

2018 sees the launch of the Castle Run Series, bringing stunning off-road half marathons to each of the iconic castles and event weekends in the Castle Triathlon Series. Not forgetting the return of the Full Marathon to Hever Castle’s Festival of Endurance (8th July).
Arguably the finest castle in the series – Lough Cutra – provides a fitting backdrop for the curtain raiser of the 2018 Castle Run Series. This first race sets the scene for a competitive and fun series, hosted within the beautiful grounds and surrounding area of stunning South Galway. What’s more, the race coincides with a Bank Holiday in the UK and it is also the first weekend of the UK school half term, making it an ideal break for sporty families.
