Course Details

Long Route: 160km, 1,350m

A ride in three parts. Starting out from beautiful Arley Hall we start off with a fast and relatively flat 50km – perfect to get in a good group, share the work and enjoy the views all the way to the first feed stop.

The first big climb of the day is the very sharp Oak Road Climb with gradients well over 10%. From there, we head west into the Macclesfield Forest for a very lumpy 20km with some steep climbs.

From here we have a fast descent back East before another quick 50km near the finish, time to get back into your groups and smash the last section to a beer and medal back at Arley Hall

Medium Route: 101km, 600m

One of the quickest 100km routes of the year in the lovely Cheshire countryside. The ride is on mostly rolling or flat terrain with a couple of short (less than 0.5kms) climbs averaging less than 5% so it’s ideal for the non-climbers amongst us.

We start and finish in Arley Hall heading to Knutsford and around to the outskirts of Wimslow before a fast section back to the finish line. You can choose on the day which route you want to ride, the split is at 51km so you can see how your legs are feeling on the day. The long route has an extra 60km and plenty of climbing in the Macclesfield Forest.

Great event! Route took riders through many picture-perfect villages, through Macclesfield Forest and over to the Peak District. Well signposted and the feed stops had everything you could need.

Enjoyed the route. Good feed stops. Could of been a bit more of an event for waiting family at start / finish. But overall enjoyable
