And if you've enough energy left, why not try your luck in the 5k that follows? A fast and flat out and back dash along the promenade that would suit runners of all standards, including beginners.

Course Details
An accurately measured, point-to-point race along the Dymchurch seafront. No turnaround to contend with on the 1 mile, plus a pancake flat course, should make for fast times. Those running the 5k will complete an out and back course along the seafront starting and finishing close to the Martello Towers.
How To Get There
Race Start: Martello Tower, High Street, Dymchurch, Kent, TN29 0TJ
The race headquarters will be at the Martello Tower. Parking is available at the Martello Tower Car Park and in other designated car parks within the town centre, but please take note of any parking restrictions or charges that may be in force.
For those wishing to arrive by train, the closest station is Westenhanger which is around 7 miles away so you will need arrange additional transport.
