The Fugitive 1.5k & 3k River Swim
This is the original Marlow River Swim which is now in its 9th year. An open water swim with 2 distances to choose from. A single lap out and back swim in the River Thames for both distances, with clear markings on the buoys on when to turn. The River has a very calm and steady flow, which makes it the perfect event for anyone looking to take part in their first swim. Higginson Park, Marlow.

There are 2 distances to choose from this year that will cater for both beginners and experienced swimmers.
River Swim - Consisting of a single lap out and back swim in the River Thames for all the distances with clear markings on the buoys on when to turn. The River has a very calm and steady flow, which makes it the perfect event for anyone looking to take part in their first swim.
99% of the time, wetsuits have to be worn for this event due to the temperature of the water, generally in the UK and Thames Valley most of the water is between 14 degree Celsius & 22 degrees Celsius.
The temperature of the water is always taken at least one hour before an event to determine if wetsuits must be worn.

08:15: All Athlete’s Event Briefing
08:30: Both 1.5km & 3.0km Swim Start
Parking will available on the football pitch behind the cricket ground/sports centre for a fee of £5 per car.
