The Gladiator at Bucklers Hard

Date & Location

Bucklers Hard, Hampshire

Organiser’s Description

This Iron distance triathlon was been relocated to Bucklers Hard in 2016, and re-named for the warship built there in 1782. It was time to freshen things up with a new challenge, and Bucklers Hard had proved a popular venue for our SwashBuckler Triathlon. This race, with its spectacular backdrop, has a one way swim in the beautiful Beaulieu River, a quiet bike course, typical of the Forest with open heathland and quiet, rolling country lanes, and a spectator-friendly run which will pass through Bucklers Hard twice on each of its 4 laps - on road and well-made tracks, we’d go so far as to call it 'flat and fast'…..!!
