HOLMSLEY CAMPSITE
We really cannot think of any better way to start 2019 than running our brand new Maverick inov-8 Original event, nestled in the heart of the ancient woodlands of the New Forest National Park.
The three new routes all start in Holmsley Inclosure and will take you on an enchanted tour regardless of running ability through a number of other Forestry Commission Inclosures. Keep your eyes peeled for the deer, ponies, cattle and even birds of prey (including the peregrine falcon) that still call the New Forest home during the short cold days of the winter months.
We can’t guarantee that it will be warm, but we can promise a magical event with the crunching and crackling of frosted leaves underfoot. Running through the New Forest in winter is to run through it at its most bare and vulnerable, and for that we think the National Park is at it’s most beautiful.
We know this one will be first come, first served for places so don’t wait until you’ve set a New Year Resolution to sign up. We can’t wait to see you there, and you never know, there might even be the possibility of building a post race snowman.
