The Night Templer

Stover Country Park, Newton Abbot, Devon

Stover Country Park, Newton Abbot, TQ12 6QG

Sat 20th October 2018

Organiser's Description

A new 10k route (with a 5k option) from Stover Park, in Teignrace next to Stover School and set within a Site of Special Scientific Interest. OK we’ve stretched the imagery of the Knights Templar a little: The Templer Way, which forms part of this lovely lakeside route, and joins the Stover Canal, was constructed by James Templer who once owned Stover House where Stover School now stands.

It’s a fairly flat route on compact earth tracks through woods and fields, as well as a river bank section next to the Teign if you’re doing the 10k. This event is ideal for all levels of runner from those chasing a ‘night PB’ to absolute beginners. This venue is ideal for kids too so we’ve added two kids races. There’s a 1k for under 8s and a 2k for ages 8-11.
