The Passchendaele Centenary Challenge Run

Challock, Kent

Jackets Field, White Hill, Boughton Aluph, Ashford TN25 4AP, UK

Mon 31st July 2017

Organiser's Description

On 31 July 1917 soldiers of the British Expeditionary Force went 'over the top' and the The Battle of Passchendaele, a major campaign of the First World War, began. We commemorate the centenary of this hugely costly, but ultimately critical, battle. King's Wood, in the heart of Kent between Ashford and Canterbury, provides a moderately challenging trail run; it's not a flat place but there are some lovely downhills to make up for the ups. It's all lovely woodland and decent trails which will make for a very pleasant run. A 6 hour timed challenge on a 5.36 mile loop. Complete as many loops as you wish/can within the time limit. Run one lap, a half marathon, a marathon, an ultra!
