Organiser's Description
A multi-terrain 10k race from the village of Tarrant Monkton and set entirely within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The race begins on tarmac roads but, after the first kilometre and a challenging ascent, continues on well-surfaced bridleways and farm tracks. After a relatively flat section, then a gentle climb to Launceston Wood, the course opens out to deliver a quite spectacular view over the North Dorset countryside. An exciting 1000m descent leads to the road once again and a sprint through the village to the finish. Also children's 1mile run.
