Organiser's Description

One of the toughest half marathons in the UK, although suitable for all abilities, with a generous 4 hour time limit. Starting from Moss Bank Park, Bolton, Greater Manchester, the route takes you up Winter Hill, then along Rivington Pike, which you run up and over, then back along the same route to the finish. A fully marked and supported out and back course - 50% country road and 50% trail.

Registration on the day opens at 08:00am

Race HQ is at the Start/Finish line

Toilets are located at Race HQ (portable toilets)

Collect your chip & race number on the day from Race HQ

On the day entry if available +£2

Some roads along the route have very light traffic so please take extra care on these

and keep to pavements when available remembering to give way to other pedestrians.

There is a timing point at Rivington Pike to ensure all runners go over the top!

Parking

Moss Bank Park has 2 free car parks,
you are advised to park in car park 2 although both car parks are equal distance to Race HQ.
If you are driving please enter the car park from Moss Bank Way A58, then follow signs to car park 2 or 1 along Moss Lane

How To Get There

By car: Take Junction 5 from the M61 and follow the A58 towards Bolton. The venue is on the A58 - follow the signs.

By train: Bolton Interchange is approx 3 miles from the venue, and combines Bolton railway station and Bolton bus station, with frequent services to Manchester, Clitheroe via Blackburn, Wigan, and Preston.
