Are the races open to all levels of trail runner?
Yes. Trail Pursuit is inclusive for beginner & experienced trail runners alike. However, for the trail marathon we recommend having sufficient experience under your belt as there are challenging technical parts.

What is the terrain like at Trail Pursuit Cairngorms?
A mix of terrain including hard packed trails, rocky elevated fells & bridleways ways, taking in panoramic views of the Cairngorms!

Do you need to navigate on these races?
No, all routes are fully marked & marshalled so you can focus on the epic trail running.

Is there an age limit to age limit to enter the races?
Yes. All individual entrants for 5K through to marathon must be aged 17 or over. This is to comply with UK Athletics guidance. For the Kids 1 Mile race any age between 5 - 12 years old.

What time do the races start?
SATURDAY 6 AUGUST: Marathon: 08:00 Half Marathon: 09:00 10K: 09:30 5K: 10:00 Kids 1 mile: 14:00 NB: An official warm up will take place approximately 15 minutes before the start of each race.

Do all finishers receive a medal?
Everyone crossing the finish line will receive a Trail Pursuit: Scotland medal for the distance they have completed. These will be given out in the finish funnel area by one of our amazing community groups.

Can I bring my dog?
We are canicross friendly! Please ensure your dog is at least 1 year of age & confident around other dogs & humans. We kindly ask you keep them on a lead throughout & please pickup & dispose of their poop!

Race Registration takes place from 2-8pm on Friday 5th August. Collect your race packs which include your race bib & number.
Race Registration is also open between 7-8.45am on Saturday 6th August.
Look out for signs to the registration tents, they will be clearly signed!
Along with race registration, setup your tents, try some yoga & prepare for an inspiring evening of adventure films!

Camping located next to the start line. Please note:
