Location

Daventry Country Park, Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11 2JB

How To Get There

By car: Daventry Country Park is 20 minutes from M1 Junction 16. Use the postcode NN11 2JB for sat navs.

By train: The closest train station is Long Buckby, which is served by West Midlands Trains services to Birmingham New Street, Northampton and London Euston. For Virgin Trains inter-city services passengers should change at Rugby, the next station to the West.

Parking

You do have to pay to park (£2 at the time of writing). This money goes directly to the country park, it's a great space that needs money and this is their main revenue stream. That said, be a hero and car share, save money and the World!

Course Details

The majority of the course is over crushed stone and, dependent on the weather, could be muddy. There are tree roots, a few small sections where the pathways are more natural and a section of single track running. The route goes around the reservoir into the woodland and around the meadow, this could be muddy depending on the weather leading up to the event. This should give you something different to look at on each lap! The course is runnable throughout.

Event Details

The event is cupless. It's obviously good for the environment to reduce plastic use and general waste. Yes, you won't break a World record having to stop to fill a bottle of water, or carry a hydration pack, but over a marathon distance it would probably add less than a minute to your time. We will have water, isotonic drinks, tea and coffee and Coca Cola for you, but to be clear - we won't supply disposable cups for drinks.

We will have a small area under the gazebo where the aid station is, where you can leave a bag, but it is not 'secure' so it is left at your own risk entirely.
