15,000 cyclists will line up at the start of a new and unforgettable 100 mile ride on completely closed roads, taking them through the picturesque Worcestershire and Herefordshire countryside before returning to Birmingham. Whether you are a seasoned sportive rider, a cycling newbie on a mission to complete a century ride, or a charity fundraiser in search of an epic challenge, Vélo Birmingham is set to be a fantastic event, as challenging as it is picturesque, and it will deliver an unforgettable experience for each and every participant.
We’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand new 42 mile route! New for 2019, take on this epic two wheeled challenge from Birmingham to Coventry* on traffic-free roads. Riders of all abilities aged 16 years and over are welcome… and road bikes and lycra aren’t compulsory!
The 42 mile route is the perfect introduction to riding in a big closed road cycling event and is a great way to gain confidence in your cycling ability in a welcoming and friendly environment. We hope that for many it will act as a stepping stone to one day taking on our 100 mile challenge!
