Organiser's Description
Two routes take riders from the start point in Wigginton (just North of York) high into the beautiful North York Moors. The York Rally Grande Classic Dunnie at 140k has a total ascent of 1687m. This route has an option which diverts for a section of the return leg to avoid the ridiculously steep Rosedale Chimney Bank- for some riders, doing it once may be more than enough! The York Rally Classic Dunnie 100k route diverges from the longer rides just after the Low Mill.
Running alongside the Sportive this year is the Retro Classic, a gentler, shorter 80k ride for connoisseurs of classic steel-framed cycles.
