Plan B Medal Header

What is FAR VR?

Plan B is a virtual challenge. Entrants choose a cumulative or one-off distance to run, walk or cycle within a 30 day period. It's a great way to stay motivated, earn a medal and raise some money for charity.

What is a virtual race though?

A virtual race is just that. You can complete it whenever and wherever you want. You can do it at the gym, on the roads... anywhere you can run, walk or cycle. Please keep within your current government's advice for social distancing at all times.

How does the charity donation work?

£2.50 of the entry fees will go to the Alzheimer's Society. If you want to raise any additional money during your running that would be even better. There is also an option for an additional donation during check-out - 100% of this will go to the charity.

What options are there for Plan B Act 3?

We no longer have the compete option for Act 3, but we have a couple more options for the collaborate and solo challenges.

1) Team - Invite one or more people to achieve a team goal.

2) Solo - If you don't fancy either of the above you can just choose a distance or a race challenge on your own.

There are also kids race options for the little ones to get involved.

For more information on each of these please visit the event pages

What’s the difference between a distance challenge and a race distance?

The distance challenges are for a cumulative distance in the time period and a race distance has to be completed in one go. Depending on your goals you can choose which works best for you.

What do I have to do to sign up?

Super easy! Just choose the option that works best for you and enter your details. Once you've signed up we will keep you informed throughout the challenge. All you need to do is complete your challenge before the deadline, and upload your evidence.

For the collaborate options, your team members will get an invitation to sign themselves up to your team.  Each signed up team member will get a medal once the challenge has been complete.

What do you mean by race evidence?

To get the medal we need to know you completed the challenge. We can take evidence in many forms; a photo of the distance on your watch/treadmill, a screenshot from any one of the running apps, an excel sheet you use to log your runs. We're the believing type so if you tell us you've done it, we trust you. You'd only be cheating yourself anyway and who would do that???

How do I upload my evidence?

You can upload your evidence using the specific links on the evidence form here.  If you have any problems just give us a shout.

For Act 3 you can now upload your evidence as you go along and your progress will be displayed on the leaderboard.  Please use your unique booking reference number when uploading evidence.

Where can I get information on the races I’ve entered?

We will send an email with all the information for your race and another to let you know to send over the evidence. If you have any questions at all just get in touch

Who can enter a virtual race?

Everyone! We suggest that anyone under 18 should complete the distance under supervision. By entering a FAR virtual race you agree that any injury or damage caused by completing your race / challenge is your own responsibility. FIND A RACE Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury occurring during completing a race / challenge. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

When will I get my medal?

As soon as the time period finishes we will send out a medal to everyone who has completed their race or challenge. It may take up a to a week to receive the medal.
