Bel Inizio Giving Thanks 5K & 10K

The Giving Thanks 5K, 10K & Kid’s K supports Bel Inizio (which means “beautiful beginning” in Italian) where we help disadvantaged women build self-confidence and life skills through fitness and nutrition. Their eight-week training culminates in the completion of a 5K race. Our women in shelters feel hopeless, but you can help. By running in the Giving Thanks 5K/10K you can raise awareness and support to give these women confidence in themselves and hope for a brighter future.
This is a fast, fun course perfect for runners, walkers, and strollers. It is a chance to come out on a cool November morning and enjoy the spirit of gratitude while knowing the race entries you have purchased will change the lives of disadvantaged women all over Houston.
Our After Party will have fun music by Other Brother, MC by Steve Stewart, awards, and a raffle. Amegy Bank is providing breakfast tacos and fruit. We will have bagels, New Magnolia Brewing beer, and even an area to dress up and take silly photos. Bring your family for the Kid’s K and enjoy a beautiful walk/run and around a peaceful lake.
