Clarion Summer Festival 2023: Rail 66 Time-Trial Bike Race

The Clarion Summer Outdoor Festival committee invites cyclists 17 years of age and older, who are ingood physical condition, to register to compete in an 11 mile, point-to-point, time-trial bike race, thatwill begin at the Farmington Twp. Community Park in Leeper, PA; travel north along the Rail 66 biketrail and finish next to Northwest Hardwoods, which is located about 1 mile south of the village ofMarienville, PA. 
Rail 66 is a 25 mile asphalt-paved bike trail that begins on Rt. 322 just west of Clarion and ends in thevillage of Marienville. Although the 11 mile time-trial course does not cross any major highways, it doescross 19 township roads, driveways and lanes along this ride, so the race committee will provide trafficcontrol at these intersections to ensure a safe crossing. Post-race refreshments will be provided by JanneyMontgomery Scott, LLC (Clarion office) at the finish line.
Award groups to be determined based on number pre-registration numbers 
RULES OF THE ROAD: All road, hybrid and mountain bikers are welcome, although finishing time will determine winners regardless of bike type. Helmets are required of all participants. Ear buds, headphones or any device that might impair hearing are prohibited. Motorized or Electric bicycles are prohibited, as this is a speed and endurance competition.
