Delaware Canal Half Marathon

Washington Crossing, PA

Washington Crossing Historic Park, Rts 532 and 32, Washington Crossing, 18977, PA, USA

Sun 13th November 2022

Organiser's Description

The Delaware Canal Half Marathon course is an out-and back along the historic Delaware Canal State Park towpath trail from Washington Crossing Historic Park north through New Hope, Pennsylvania, turning around neat Chez Odette’s south of New Hope, returning to Washington Crossing Historic Park. The first and last .5 miles are on paved surface. There will be signs at each mile mark.
Built in 1832, the tow path is narrow in some sections, requiring single file travel. The towpath has several camelback bridge underpasses with low clearance. Taller people may feel the need to duck under a few of them.
In order to reduce crowding on the Delaware Canal State Park towpath, the race will employ a wave start. Small groups based on seed times will be released over a ten minute period. Please be honest with your seed times. Incorrect times make travel on along the Canal towpath more difficult.
The BUCKY is a race to complete 39.3 miles in one weekend – participants that register for the Bucky will run the Delaware Canal Half Marathon on Saturday and the Bucks County Marathon on Sunday. The BABY BUCKY is the Saturday Delaware Canal Half Marathon and the Sunday Bucks County 5K. In addition to finisher’s medal those who complete the Bucky or Baby Bucky Challenge get a commemorative hoodie.
