Golden Gate Double 8K

On Sunday, August 7, 2022, the Golden Gate 10K, UjENA Fit Club 5K Run/Walk, and the Golden Gate Double 8K (5K+3K) will take place near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California. Sponsored by My Best Runs, Clif Bar, and Sports Basement and hosted by UjENA Fit Club, these races offer stunning views of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area for over 80% of the course. For those looking to participate, Saturday, August 6, 2022 will be the day for packet pickup from noon to 5PM at Sports Basement, 610 Old Mason Street, SF. Alternatively, same day packet pickup will take place on Sunday from 6:30am to 7:45am. The races will begin promptly at 8:15am, with a Double 8K first leg, Golden Gate 10K, and UjENA Fit Club 5K start. The second leg of the Double 8K will begin at 9:30am, followed by the awards presentation at 10:15am. All participants will receive a high tech shirt, and all finishers will be awarded a special Golden Gate medal. Winners in the Double 8K, 10K, and 5K within ten year age-groups (19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus) will receive a performance medal. Additionally, there will be $200 in prize money for the Double 8K, with $100 going to the first place male and female. Trophies will also be awarded to the winners of each race.
