It's tails. It's trails. It's the Huntington Tails & Trails Festival, where there is something for everyone, including man's best friend. Huntington Tails & Trails will feature a 5K and 1 Mile Dog Walk. The event will be held at Evergreen Park on Saturday, October 7.
Sign up for the 5K or the 1 Mile Dog Walk that will follow a beautiful trail with views of the Wabash River and Wildflower Prairies.If running isn’t your thing, then be sure to join us for several festival activities before and after the race. There will be Live music , Food Trucks, Market Shops, Family Fun Zone, Costume Contest for Humans & their Four Legged companions, dog lure course, & Dog Group Demonstrations,
Those who sign up for the race before September 23 are guaranteed a race shirt. There is something for everyone so dust off those running shoes and lawn chairs and come out and join us.
The event is hosted by HARTA (Huntington Area Recreational Trails Association) & the Huntington County Humane Society. Proceeds from event registrations and sponsors will go toward supporting the upcoming Erie trail expansion, trail amenities, trail signage, lifesaving medical care, spays, and neuters for the shelter animals.
EACH PAID ENTRY RECEIVESEach human participant will receive a t-shirt and each doggie participant will receive a doggie goodie bag. MUST REGISTER BEFORE SEPTEMBER 23 TO SECURE YOUR RACE T-SHIRTEarly Bird: - $15Registration - $20 before the day of. Day of registration- $30*NEW* STUDENT REGISRATION: $10 (must be 22 and under, price shown at checkout)Day of Student : $15*ALL RUNNERS PLEASE BE AWARE THERE WILL BE A STAGGERED START. RUNNERS & WALKERS WILL GO OUT FIRST. The Dog walk will be first and then the 5KRULES:
All dogs must be kept on a 6 foot leash (no extractable) and under direct supervision of an adult.All dog waste must be picked up.
