Please join us for Love4Lucas 4th Annual family-friendly 5k Run/Walk/Bike Virtual Event to support the Love4Lucas Foundation! Just run, walk, or bike 5K (3.1 miles) ANYTIME and ANYWHERE from Saturday, October 28 - Sunday, October 29, 2023.
Thanks to our supporters, we raised close to $60,000 in 2022. Your generosity allowed us to donate 100% of the proceeds to research organizations dedicated to finding a cure for DIPG. In December 2022, we donated $50,000 to the Childrens Brain Tumor Project (CBTP) that helped fund further research in the understanding of the development of DIPG. CBTP is committed to improving the outcome for children with brain tumors and supporting clinical research in targeted therapy and drug delivery approaches (see CBTP newsletter).

The Love4Lucas Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization created in honor of Lucas Harashima. On September 17, 2016, at the age of 5, Lucas was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). DIPG is an aggressive brain tumor that affects children between the ages of 4 and 11 and interferes with all bodily functions. Lucas died on March 21, 2018, just a few months shy of his 7th birthday.
