Where else can you race along the ocean watching surfers and dolphins share the water while running the famed Pacific Coast Highway and ending at renowned Zuma Beach? Sold out 3 consecutive years the Malibu Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk presented by Rusnak BMW is an out-and-back course designed to take full advantage of what nature has to offer — 100% of the course takes place along Pacific Coast Highway, which hugs the coastline and allows runners to take in the blue ocean on one side and the gorgeous Santa Monica Mountains on the other.
The Half Marathon course is USATF-certified and participants will have 4+ hours to complete their race, i.e. 18 minutes-per-mile pace for the Half-Marathon.
Because of the importance of their grassroots efforts and commitment to the Malibu Community, ‘The Boys & Girls Clubs of Malibu’ are the race flagship charity. The club’s mission is to significantly enhance the lives of Malibu youth which includes a focus on bilingual counseling, education, and Angels at Risk, a drug intervention program for teens and their families.
