Organiser's Description

The NWANA Movement Series is a recurring virtual challenge platform for Nordic Walking, Walking, and Running across North America.

Each week, participants choose a challenge, represent a team, complete their activity, and submit their result. The series is built to grow participation, weekly rankings, city teams, club teams, corporate teams, and the future athlete pathway for Nordic Walking in North America.

This is not a one-time charity walk. This is a sports movement platform for athletes, beginners, seniors, clubs, teams, and communities who want to help build Nordic Walking as a visible and organized sport across the United States and North America.

Participants may upload multiple activities throughout the weekly challenge period. Total distance completed during the challenge window determines leaderboard rankings.

Activities may be submitted manually from anywhere during the official weekly challenge dates.

    The official weekly virtual challenge of the Nordic Walking Association of North America (NWANA). Join athletes, beginners, coaches, and movement enthusiasts from across the United States and beyond in a week-long Nordic Walking challenge focused on distance, consistency, and community participation. Participants may submit multiple activities throughout the week. All distances are combined into the final leaderboard. Whether you are training seriously or simply building a healthier lifestyle, this challenge is designed to keep you moving as part of the growing Nordic Walking movement. This category is open to everyone and it is also your opportunity to discover Nordic Walking, one of the worlds fastest-growing movement sports. Many participants start here before picking up poles and joining the Nordic Walking division. Join the movement, stay active, and help support the growth of a new sport system in the United States and across North America. Runners are invited not only to compete, but also to help support the growth of Nordic Walking as an emerging endurance sport community in North America. Some runners join for the challenge. Others eventually pick up poles and try Nordic Walking for themselves.
