Organiser's Description
VAN and local Gold Star Families come together to honor the fallen and to raise awareness for suicide prevention. The Remembrance Love Walk is a total of 2.2 miles in acknowledgement of the loss of 22 veterans per day to suicide. We will walk out 1.1 miles and return 1.1 miles. The route will accommodate adaptive participants. Service Dogs are welcome as well as other dogs on leash.Â
We will honor fallen heroes with remembrance signs placed respectively along the route. Participants can also visit the Veterans' Village with vendors, food, and other items.Â
