Support local natural areas and wildlife at the Rock Springs Ramble, featuring a 5K Run/Walk, a 1 mile Run/Walk, the Rock Springs Challenge, and 1/4 mile Kids' Fun Run!
This fundraiser supports the Macon County Conservation Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps fund natural area restoration and educational programs at the Macon County Conservation District, and its Rock Springs Nature Center.
The Macon County Conservation Foundation wants to highlight the importance of natural areas and our need for fresh air and space in nature. By registering to run or walk, you support these natural areas and their wildlife. In addition, those registered for the 5k and 1 mile Run/Walk will receive a finisher's medal, t-shirt, and a grab bag. Hand-painted wildlife rocks (created by local artist Sheryl Polley) will be awarded to top 3 finishers in 5 year age groups up 70 and over. Children registered for the Kids' Fun Run will receive a tree cookie medal and a nature activity book.
Please note that the 5K and 1mile Run/Walk will begin and end in the Rock Springs Nature Center parking lot, and the course will be on the paved Rock Springs-Fairview Bike Path.
Registration is $35 for 5K Run/Walk, $70 for the Rock Springs Challenge, and $10 for the Kids' Fun Run.
Register by April 19th to receive T-shirt, bag and finishers medal on race day.
On-line and race day registration available.
Appropriate COVID guidelines will be followed.
