Run to Remember 5K Run/Walk - San Antonio

Come join the Beard vs Beans brothers, Miguel and Matt as they team up with the Alzheimer’s Association to bring you the 11th annual Run To Remember. 
Run to Remember will be a chip timed 5k/10k race and we are offering a 0.5k kids Run and a 0.5k Beer Run for those who choose not to run long distance and was added at the request of Matt with Team Beard (for him).  All 5k/10k finishers will receive a shirt and finishers medal. All 0.5k kids run participants will receive a medal only. All 0.5k Beer Run finishers will receive a Beer Mug only! 
This is the 6th year Beard vs Beans will be hosting Run to Remember since being handed the baton from the Alzheimer’s Association, and we have 3 goals for this race​
1. Bring our families, friends, caregivers and community together to help ENDALZ by raising funds for The Alzheimer's Association of San Antonio and South Texas.
2. We want to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for your mind and body, while bringing awareness to Alzheimer’s and related dementias.​

The Alzheimer’s Association’s mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.  All funds raised will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, San Antonio & South Texas Chapter.  5.7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s​
Beard vs Beans was founded by accident with a Brotherly Rivalry!  Miguel (Beans) and Matt (Beard) raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association by hosting multiple events throughout the year with a Main Event to conclude their competitive fundraising.  Year 1 ended with a just under $4k raised and Matt shaving his beloved beard.  Since then then Matt has taken 2 more losses ending in a tattoo of a 6 year old Miguel with the hastag #ENDALZ, an embarrassing calendar starting Matt again and then in 2021 Miguel took his first loss which resulted in a full body wax and spray tan!  Yes, we are serious about what we do!​  We've raised over $65k since we started this in 2017 and ALL of that has gone directly to The Alzheimer's Association of San Antonio and South Texas.
