February is American Heart Month, a time for all people to focus on their cardiovascular health. What better way to do so than going out for some fun physical activity. Wear a red shirt in honor of Heart Month. Dress up like a heart and you could win a prize!

Signing up for one of our run/walk events won’t break the bank. Our low cost races are cozy and intimate, where you have a chance to get to know your fellow runner and your race director if you like. If you don’t want to chat or make new friend but prefer to put in your earbuds and get lost in the ocean breeze, that is total fine as well.
We will take care of you. Let us worry about the water and fuel you need to finish your distance so you can do you. You decide what feels right for you that day.
You have the flexibility to sign up for any of at least four different distances at every one of our friendly gatherings. No hassle, no penalty fee involved if you want to change distances on race day. Small events means not having to get to the event hours before the start or sitting in a line of cars forever to get out of the parking lot.

We will track you and let you know when you are close to qualifying for the 10 event and 15 event specials. Your job is to work on your fitness and enjoy the ride, leave the spreadsheets to us.
This is an open course. There may be other pedestrians, runners, or cyclists on the beach path with you, please be courteous to them and do not spread out wide so that others can not get by you.
Running/walking with a stroller is encouraged but unfortunately, pets are not allowed. We have a 3:15 time limit for the half marathon. If more time is needed, please email us at [email protected] for early start.
This is a small informal event. Everyone will get a finishers medal that notes what distance you completed. This is a smaller race that emphasizes the fun and community aspects of running, walking and racing. We look forward to seeing you out there!
Results and photos will be posted here by the evening of the race day.
Photos will be tagged and searchable by bib number so please wear your bib on your front in a way that it will be captured by our photographers.

Off of beach path off of Bay St. & Ocean Ave. near Crescent Bay Park
Parking - There are meters on the street, they are free until 9am. Please don’t add a ticket to the cost of your race. Make sure that after 9AM your meter is paid quarters, or credit cards. Also – check the signs to make sure you are not parked on a street sweeping block. Street sweeping goes from 7am to 9am and comes with a nasty ticket. The lot at the beach, adjacent to the start/finish, is a pay lot. You can pay at the entrance booth or if no one is there, then pay the machines. The prices vary throughout the year, typically $8-12. We are not responsible for keeping up to date on any price increases that Santa Monica initiates.
