Hello Port Dawgs,
We are so excited to be able to host the event again here in San Antonio for the 433rd Family Day. This year we will be having a few different options for you to accomplish run via live 1.5 mile, 5k and a virtual 5k run that you can accomplish anywhere and submit your results on here.
Location to start at 0800
Here is the a little bit more from the history of our event.
In 2011, the Air Transportation Community experienced a tragic loss when one of ourBrothers was murdered, TSgt Curtis E. Eccleston. In 2013, the Port Dawgs at KadenaAir Base held a memorial run in honor of Curtis, what would become an annual eventheld around the world across the entire career field. It builds on the strong comraderyour career field already maintains and reinforces to every Airmen, when you join thiscareer field, you join a family.
The event is an opportunity to highlight on our installations and in our communities howmuch Port Dawgs mean to each other. It is traditionally held during National DefenseTransportation Week (11-15 May), but we know that some units will have to be flexiblebecause after all, we are making the mission happen across the globe 24/7/365 andmust consider restrictions due to the COVID 19.
Get outside and get your fit to fight fitness in with a run/walk and help us remember andhonor the members of our pack who are no longer with us. Thank you for all you do andit is an honor to be a member of your team…PORT DAWGS
