Organiser's Description
The SARR Prickly Pear offers 50K, 15K, and 5K distances run on the natural trails of McAllister Park. 50K starts at 7am and will be one 5K Loop, followed by three 15K Loops. 15K starts at 8am and is one 9.3 mile Loop. 5K is 3.32 miles and starts at 8:30am. Course Cut-Off time is 3pm. 50K participants MUST start their 3rd and final loop before 12:15pm.
Race starts and finishes at the Optimist Pavilion, next to the playground near the center of the park. You can find parking near the pavilion or a short walk away. There are restrooms at the pavilion, and there will be more port-a-potties closer to the start/finish line.
There will be three water stations on the 15K course, and a 50K aid station/bag drop located next to finish line water stop for access during your race. There is one water stop on the 5K course. The trails at McAllister Park are easy to moderate, unless it’s wet—then there is a possibility of mud and water crossings. Please give a hoot and don’t pollute the trails, please dispose of your trash at water stops or carry with you.
The race is chip-timed. Awards to Top 3 Overall and Masters M/F in all three distances. Finishers medal for everyone who crosses the finish line!
