Join us for the Shinzen Run/Walk on Sunday, May 17th, 2026, in beautiful Fresno! This beloved event has been a staple in the community for over 35 years and celebrates the spirit of camaraderie while supporting the stunning Shinzen Garden. Participants can choose between a 5K and a 10-mile race, with awards for various age groups ranging from 6-9 to 70 and up. Every runner will receive a finisher medal, a commemorative T-shirt, and a delicious pancake breakfast to fuel their post-race festivities. Plus, all participants will enjoy free entry to the Shinzen Garden, making it a perfect day out for family and friends. Don’t miss your chance to win a small bonsai plant kit for the top male and female finishers in each age group for both distances! If you can’t make it in person, a virtual run option is also available. Come be a part of this vibrant event and support the Shinzen Garden in memory of Ken Takeuchi!

The Shinzen Run started over 35 years ago under the direction of Ken Takeuchi and has supported the Shinzen Garden.
